Regulated custody and self-custody now live, with staking support coming soon
BitGo is pleased to announce support for Internet Computer (ICP), a top 50 Layer 1 protocol by market capitalization. Institutional clients can now securely custody ICP using BitGo’s regulated custody wallet or self-custody cold wallet infrastructure. Support for staking ICP as well as for tokens of decentralized applications (DApps) built on ICP are also on the roadmap and will be available soon.
Expanding Support for Top Layer 1s
With this addition, BitGo continues to expand its best-in-class asset coverage—supporting more top 100 digital assets than any other qualified custodian. ICP joins other recent high-profile Layer 1 integrations including Aptos (APT) and Bittensor (TAO), underscoring BitGo’s leadership in supporting the most widely adopted blockchain ecosystems.
Why Internet Computer?
The Internet Computer hosts secure, network-resident code and data, designed to host fully DApps directly from the blockchain. Its unique architecture, including canister smart contracts and chain-key cryptography, positions it as a powerful Web3 platform for scaling DApps and services without centralized infrastructure, that is immune to cyber attacks and unstoppable.
BitGo remains committed to delivering secure, regulated, and comprehensive infrastructure for digital assets. As institutions continue to diversify across leading networks, BitGo ensures that clients have trusted access to custody and staking solutions across the most important protocols.
