Effective immediately, BitGo Trust clients can:

  • Hold TIA in regulated custody

  • Stake TIA from regulated custody

  • Integrate REST APIs for TIA wallets and staking

BitGo clients can now interact with the Celestia ecosystem through the BitGo platform, helping them manage their digital assets safely. This collaboration enhances the security and usability of the Celestia ecosystem, encouraging ecosystem participation, innovation, and adoption through Qualified Custody, Staking and easy to use APIs for developers.

What is Celestia?

Celestia is a modular data availability network aimed at empowering developers and enhancing blockchain scalability and flexibility by separating the consensus and application layers. This separation allows for the creation of specialized, self-governing blockchains known as “sovereign rollups”.

Celestia only orders and publishes transactions, leaving their execution to the specialized blockchains built atop it. This modular architecture allows developers to define their own execution environments, with each application having its sovereign execution space while inheriting the security of Celestia’s consensus.
