¿Qué está cambiando?

BitGo está cambiando las direcciones de recepción segwit envueltas por defecto (P2SH-P2WSH) a segwit nativas (P2WSH), que requieren un 25 % menos de datos para gastar, lo que se traduce en tarifas más bajas. ¿Qué es Segwit nativo?

Segwit nativo permite transacciones más compactas, lo que reduce el tamaño de los datos y facilita un procesamiento más rápido. Sin embargo, la mayoría de las carteras ahora admiten envíos a Direcciones bech32, lo que significa que la compatibilidad con carteras ha mejorado significativamente, permitiendo a los usuarios beneficiarse plenamente de segwit nativo.

La transición

Estamos haciendo que segwit nativo sea el tipo de dirección predeterminado para nuestra API. Este cambio se implementará en las próximas semanas, lo que significa que los usuarios de la API crearán automáticamente direcciones P2WSH sin necesidad de configuración adicional.

Flexibilidad para nuestros clientes

Si aún prefiere Segwit envuelto, puede optar por revertir añadiendo «chain: 10» a su llamada «createAddress». A finales de este año, los usuarios de la interfaz de usuario tendrán la opción de seleccionar el tipo de dirección para las carteras, lo que le proporcionará más control y flexibilidad.

Mirando hacia el futuro

Con la transición a segwit nativo, BitGo pretende reducir las comisiones por transacción para todos los clientes. Este cambio se ajusta a la tendencia general del sector, ya que la compatibilidad de los monederos con segwit nativo sigue creciendo.
