序数とは何ですか？ 銘文とは何ですか？
ビットコイン開発者のケイシー・ロダモア氏は、 ORD 2022年12月。このソフトウェアはBitcoin Coreのフルノード上で動作し、ユーザーがコンピュータ上のファイルを16進数データに変換してビットコインのトランザクション内に埋め込む（「インスクリプション」と呼ばれる）ことを可能にします。このデータを特定のサトシに「紐付ける」ことで、ユーザーはNFT（「オーディナル」と呼ばれる）を作成できます。これらの用語は場合によっては同じ意味で使用されることもありますが、実際には2つの異なる概念を指しています。

銘文 これは、ビットコインのブロックチェーンにデータを保存するための、新たに発見（あるいは考案）された手法です。これまでは、ビットコインのブロックチェーンへのデータ保存は通常、OP_RETURN タイプの出力を使用して行われていました。この出力は使用不能であり、ノードは1トランザクションあたり最大80バイトのOP_RETURNを1つまで含むトランザクションのみを中継していました。 インスクリプションを利用すれば、1つのトランザクションに約400KBのデータを容易に保存することが可能であり、マイナーの協力を得れば、約4MBのデータを保存することもできます。
ここ数年で起きた2つの変化により、インスクリプションが可能になりました。第一に、Segregated Witness（SegWit）ソフトフォークにより、ブロックサイズ制限に代わる「ブロックウェイト制限」という概念が導入されました。これにより、ウェイト1単位の「ウェイト付きウィットネスデータ」（入力の使用を承認するもの）と、ウェイト4単位の「トランザクションデータ」（消費される入力と生成される出力）との区別が設けられました。 第二に、Taprootソフトフォークにより、トランザクションやブロックに既に課されている制限を超えてサイズが制限されない、新しいタイプのビットコインスクリプト「Tapscript」が導入されました。
「序数と刻印の紐付け」は、もう一つの慣例です。トランザクションによって刻印が明らかになった場合、その刻印をTapscriptで明らかにした入力の最初のサトシが、刻印付きとみなされます。これにより、序数理論を通じて刻印の所有権を移転できるようになり、刻印付きサトシの売買、交換、収集が可能になります。
ユーザーが直面する課題
序数付きサトシは、ビットコインの取引、入力、出力に対する新たな視点であるため、現時点ではビットコインウォレットでそれらを簡単に受け取ったり、送金したり、保管したりすることはできません。もし、通常のビットコインウォレットに価値のある刻印付きサトシを受け取ったとしても、そのサトシに刻印が含まれているという表示は一切ないため、後の取引で誤ってそのサトシを送金してしまったり、マイニング手数料として支払ってしまったりする恐れがあります。
サトシの序数（Ordinal）を転送する際は、使用不能な「ダスト」出力が生成されないよう注意するとともに、Ordinal理論のレンズが取引に正しく適用され、刻印されたサトシが意図した受取人に確実に転送されるようにする必要があります。
新しい碑文の作成サービスはまだ広く普及しておらず、利用可能なサービスの多くはサービス提供者への信頼を必要とします（つまり、利用者が料金を支払えば提供者が碑文を作成する仕組みですが、提供者が代金を受け取ったにもかかわらず、利用者の住所に碑文を届けない可能性があるということです）。

本日より、BitGo上のあらゆるビットコインホットウォレットにインスクリプション追跡機能を追加できるようになりました。この機能を有効にすると、ウォレットに受信された取引についてインスクリプションの有無がチェックされ、貴重なインスクリプションが失われるのを防ぐために凍結されます。 ダッシュボードには、そのウォレット専用の新しい「未使用残高（Unspents）」ビューが追加され、インスクリプションを確認したり、詳細情報を確認するためにパブリックなOrdinalsエクスプローラーへリンクしたりできるようになります。このビューから、インスクリプションが刻まれたサトシがどこに送られるかを気にすることなく、そのビットコインを通常の取引で使用したい場合は、インスクリプションの凍結を解除することができます。
近日中に、刻印されたサトシを任意のアドレスへ安全に送金できるようになります。また、刻印機能対応のウォレットでは、新しい取引を行う際に刻印を作成する新しいオプションが利用可能になります。これにより、ビットコインのブロックチェーンに独自のコンテンツを刻印できるようになります。
