Go Network: Settle

Transfer digital assets and fiat within qualified custody—real-time, 24/7/365, for free.

What is Go Network?

Go Network is BitGo’s settlement infrastructure built within regulated qualified custody enabling secure transfers of fiat and digital assets.

Go Network was built to close industry gaps and provide a platform for settlement, minimizing risk, friction and delays. By keeping assets in regulated custody until settlement instructions have been confirmed, Go Network ensures that counterparties cannot access your assets prematurely, creating a safer environment for all participants.

How do Go Network transfer and settlement work?

The Settle tab allows you to transfer and settle funds without exposing assets to counterparties. You can perform:

  • Transfers: unilateral transfers of fiat or digital assets within regulated custody, e.g.,

    • You initiate a BTC transfer to a counterparty

    • The transfer is completed as soon as you sign the transaction and does not require approval from your counterparty

  • Settlement (Delivery vs Payment, DvP): bilateral, real-time transfers of fiat or digital assets within regulated custody, e.g.,

    • You initiate a BTC transfer to a counterparty and request USD in return

    • Once signed by you and approved by your counterparty, BTC and USD are transferred simultaneously

This helps:

  • Manage counterparty risk: assets move simultaneously within BitGo’s qualified custody, ensuring neither party delivers first

  • Increase efficiency: offchain, real-time settlement the minimizes delays

  • Streamline operations: automation designed to reduce manual reconciliations and workflows
